The Professional Educators For Tightly Coily Hair
We are Aeleise & Aishia, and we are the ultimate curl nerds and cofounders of Black Girl Curls.
We are also toddler moms, digital content creators, licensed hairstylists, Deva Advanced Stylists, brand agnostic curl educators, and generally your snarky girlfriends with no filter. Our hair is only picture ready about 60% of the time, but we absolutely adore the curls we get to care for in the salon and online. We’re just here to help folks create a joyful, simple, and fabulous experience with their Black Girl Curls.
It is our mission as black women, to present Black Curl Magic in all of its tight, kinky glory, leading to more and more stylists embracing the whole woman who walks through their doors with natural texture. We are brand agnostic, technically focused, and culturally sensitive educators that walk our talk. We are incredibly grateful that you chose to join us in this educational journey and sincerely hope that what we share benefits you and your clients.
We’ve would love for you to join us in particular because through your social engagement you’ve shown a love and devotion to tighter curls that is extraordinary.
Our goal is to collaboratively share techniques, practices, products, and methods to inspire growth.
There Are Two Ways To Work With Us
Over the last three years of working with tightly curly haired women around the country, we have come to the conclusion that there is desperate need for more specialists. Potential Clients are driving across state lines and flying across the country seeking knowledgeable and trusted professionals to partner with. They're bypassing thousands of local salons, and likely yours too, in order to get the care they need. This is insane right?!
In this digital course we cover our theory and philosophy of care, along with brand agnostic product recommendations, along with sink work + cutting demonstrations performed live during our past Digital Curl Summits. This course is for those new to the industry or brand new to working with textured hair in its natural state.
The investment in Respect The Curl is $249 and please click the image to get started on some curls.
Cut It Kinky! charts new territory in our industry where we are finally able to center what we have coined “Black Girl Curls” as conceived by the owners of said curls. Rich with the culture, history, and lived experience of our target market, we bypass the forced emphasis on acceptability politics in hair, as shown by the preference for looser and lighter curls in product marketing and education.
In this course we do a 6 week deep dive into the art and business of being a successful curl artist. From tech tools to tight curl architecture we cover it all in weekly live and pre-recorded video sessions, live business coaching calls, and we culminate a 5 week digital experience with a three day hands in curls class complete with portfolio building photo shoot.
Your investment in this course is $1600 and payment plans are available. Please click the image to register for the Winter session starting January 15th, 2019.
