Products are the tools we use to bring our clients desires to life.
In order to know what tools to use, we have to understand how they work and who they work on.
At Cut It Kinky, Curl Product Process means not relying on the products exclusively from one brand or finding our client styling solutions on YouTube.
Being results driven requires us to work with multiple product lines that meet or exceed the expectations of our clients. Our commitment to being brand agnostic is being loyal to brands that are loyal to our clients results.

Welcome to our corner of the internet. We are Aeleise & Aishia, ultimate curl nerds and cofounders of Black Girl Curls. Over the last four years of working with tightly curly haired women around the world, we have come to the conclusion that there is desperate need for more tight curl specialists.
Cut It Kinky! charts new territory in our industry where we are finally able to center what we have coined “Black Girl Curls” as conceived by the owners of said curls. Rich with the culture, history, and lived experience of our target market, we bypass the forced emphasis on acceptability politics in hair, as shown by the preference for looser and lighter curls in product marketing and education.
It is our mission as black women, to present Black Curl Magic in all of its tight, kinky glory, leading to more and more stylists embracing the whole woman who walks through their doors with natural texture. We are brand agnostic, technically focused, and culturally sensitive educators that walk our talk.
We started Cut It Kinky because we listened. We listened to our online client’s request to work with stylists in their local areas who could cut their hair without the need to blow it out. We are not only dedicated to teaching stylists how to see 3-Dimensional hair, but we are also committed to teaching the science, the business and the lived experiences of those who posses tight curls.
Our goal is to share everything we know about Black Girls and their Curls with those who are interested and dedicated to serving them. Giving Black women and girls access to local and in some cases regional tight curl specialists who are knowledgeable and equipped to work with their curls.
COVID19 has definitely impacted our ability to teach live and in person but we aren’t letting that stop us from bringing y’all all of our tight curl insight.
